RAM Consulting Corporation is a privately held firm registered as a C Corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Corporation is owned by the husband and wife team of Ranjit and Manjit (Mindy) Sahai. Ranjit is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) who was appointed a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2009 (F.ASCE). He is a graduate from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. From IIT Delhi, he received his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering respectively. He came to the US with his wife, Manjit, in 1983. He received his MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston, Central Campus (Go Cougars!). He authored “Teach Yourself MicroStation” in 1999 and the book received acclaim from readers world-wide. He had co-authored four books before that between 1994 and 1997. He wrote the popular MDL Corner 101 column, a programmer’s introduction to the Bentley MicroStation Development Language for the now-defunct MicroStation Manager magazine. He rose to the title of Vice President at Alpha Corporation where he started as a Structural Engineer in 1987. He had designed mid-rise buildings in 1985 with Building Engineers in Houston, Texas; and analyzed curtain walls for high-rise buildings in 1986 with Flour City Architectural Metals, Glen Cove, New York. He founded RAM Consulting Corporation with his wife Manjit on December 7, 2001. The company launches its newest division, RCareTM Solutions on July 22, 2010. (It's coming, take a peek.) Manjit is Executive Vice President at RAM Consulting Corporation. She manages the Accounting and Human Resources departments for the company. She holds an MS degree from the University of Punjab, Chandigarh, India. She has a 25-year background in accounting and human resources. |
